The big day came at last -- April 23. The lake surface is water once more - and clear of ice. Friends of Little Beaver Lake had their guessing contest, and we have a winner -- to be announced at our regular meeting on Thursday evening. One member guessed the exact date.

We've been making guesses as to the exact day the ice will go out. Many thought it might be early, due to the mild winter -- but April is taking its time.... a series of snowstorms and cool times -- and not a lot of sushine yet.
